DSers Basic vs Advanced: Which Shopify Features Require a Paid Plan?

For Shopify stores, DSers Advanced adds staff logins and product-image editing that Basic does not include, according to DSers pricing. Basic is free; Advanced is $19.90 a month, checked October 14, 2026. Keep Basic if its limits fit, and consider Advanced for those specific tools or extra capacity.

What changes between Basic and Advanced?

DSers Basic is free, with 3 stores, 3,000 supplier products and no staff accounts. Advanced costs $19.90 per month, with 10 stores, 20,000 supplier products and 5 staff accounts. These are capacity limits, not monthly order allowances.
Subscription and capacity comparison, not a complete feature list. Sources: DSers pricing and the DSers Shopify App Store listing, checked October 14, 2026. Disputed features are explained below, not marked as included.

Staff access and image tools are clear paid differences

Basic lists 0 staff accounts; Advanced lists 5. Both DSers pricing and its Plans and Billing overview agree. These are staff logins, not a claim that the account owner cannot use Basic. If someone else needs a separate DSers login to help manage the work, this is a documented difference to consider.

The same two sources mark Edit Product Images, Edit Image Size and Upload Product Images unavailable on Basic and available on Advanced. This is editing, resizing and uploading product images inside DSers, not a promise that every AI image service is included without extra charges.

If you already handle those image tasks elsewhere, paying to duplicate them may add little. That is a decision about your workflow, not a claim that Basic includes these DSers tools.

Product capacity is documented; monthly order limits are not

DSers pricing lists 3 stores on Basic and 10 on Advanced, managed in one DSers account. Its supplier-product limits are 3,000 and 20,000, respectively. Those figures were checked October 14, 2026.

DSers defines the supplier-product count as the “Sum of the imported products in Import List and the number of products in My Products mapping.” Count that workload, not just the products shoppers can currently see. The pricing page separately labels a store-product limit; do not multiply the supplier-product allowance by your store count.

The inspected pricing and billing pages do not state a monthly order cap for these two plans. A product limit is not an order allowance, and an unstated order cap is not a promise of unlimited processing.

Advanced also does not increase every limit. DSers pricing and the billing overview both list 500 product imports per day and 1 platform connection for Basic and Advanced. The overview defines platform connections as store platforms such as Shopify, not the number of stores on that platform.

Basic bulk ordering: the sources disagree

The DSers Shopify listing includes “Bulk order to AliExpress/1688/Agent” under Basic. DSers pricing also lists “Bulk order tools” on the free plan.

But DSers' Bulk Order Processing help page says: “This feature is available on paid plans.” All three sources were checked October 14, 2026.

Those entries conflict. They do not establish that Basic lacks bulk ordering, or that paying for Advanced is necessary. Ask DSers to confirm the plan entitlement for your supplier and ordering method before relying on it.

Bulk placement is also separate from payment. The same help page says: “You still need to go to AliExpress to complete payment”. That documented payment step does not resolve the plan conflict.

Advanced branded tracking: inclusion and upselling are both disputed

In sources checked October 14, 2026, the DSers Shopify listing advertises “Branded tracking page with logo&upsell” under Advanced. The pricing page also lists “Branded tracking page” for Advanced.

The Plans and Billing overview disagrees: its “Shipment tracking (branded page)” row shows “–” for Advanced, rather than the check mark it uses for inclusion.

There is a separate upsell discrepancy. The pricing page marks Tracking Upsell unavailable on Advanced, despite the Shopify listing's “logo&upsell” wording. A branded page and product suggestions on that page are different features. Do not buy Advanced, or a higher tier, on the assumption that either conflict has been settled.

Check the exact pricing task, not just the word “automation”

DSers pricing lists automatic price and inventory updates for Advanced. The billing overview's FAQ agrees: “Advanced, Pro, and Enterprise all support automatic inventory and price updates”. Yet that same overview's feature table marks Automatic price update and Inventory auto update absent on Advanced. Both pages were checked October 14, 2026.

That is a conflict inside the documentation, not evidence of a reliable update interval. Get the exact Advanced entitlement confirmed if your choice depends on price or stock updates.

Manual bulk price changes have another mismatch. For Advanced, DSers pricing says “10 times /mo”; the billing overview lists “25” without a period in that row. Neither supports silently calling the allowance 25 changes per month. Both were checked October 14, 2026.

Nor does the Shopify listing's Basic label “One-click listing & Auto-pricing tool” prove that every pricing task is automated. It does not resolve the separate update and quota disagreements above.

Check the billing choice and any extra-product charge

The DSers Shopify listing, checked October 14, 2026, offers Advanced at $190.80 a year as an alternative to $19.90 monthly. It states that charges are in USD. Compare the annual subscription with monthly billing, not with a monthly payment you can assume has the same cancellation terms.

Under Advanced, the listing also warns: “Extra fee will be needed if the amount of products exceeds the limit based on the usage level. Contact support to apply”. It does not state the rate or what happens automatically when you cross the limit mid-month. Ask for that cost rather than assuming an upgrade is the only option.

Match the upgrade to a specific requirement

Write down the job Basic cannot cover: a separate staff login, the named DSers image tools, or capacity above its stated product or store limit. If none applies, there is no documented capacity or image-tool reason here to pay for Advanced. A disputed feature needs an answer from DSers, not a more expensive guess.

For a feature-dependent purchase, ask: “Does Advanced include this exact function for my Shopify store and supplier, and are there separate charges or limits?” Keep the answer with the plan quote. To compare subscriptions at different catalog sizes, check the software charges using your own inputs.
